THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH

(OCTOBER THRU JUNE) WILL STILL BE OUR
YOUTH & FAMILY MASS/DINNER & ACTIVITY;

  • THIS TAKES PLACE OF DISCIPLESHIP SUNDAYS
    ON THESE SUNDAYS.
    The MASS begins at 6 pm followed by dinner
    & activity from 7 – 8:30 pm in the
    Cassidy Activities Center.

DISCIPLESHIP SUNDAYS
(DS)

A NEW High School Youth Program…
that is open to all High School Youth AND their families!

The time will be from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday evenings that the Youth & Family Mass doesn’t take place. This is geared towards High School youth and their families, however Jr. High youth and families are welcome to join us.

 

Schedule:

  • 6 pm – FELLOWSHIP
    • Games in Gym or outside (weather permitting)
  • 6:30 pm – LITURGY
    • Liturgy of the Word Service – Chapel
      (this is not a Mass and the Eucharist
      will not be given out)
  • 7 pm – REFLECTION
    • A Brief message to entire group
  • 7:15 pm – SMALL GROUP TIME
    • Jr. High – High School – Parents/Adults
  • 7:45 pm – SEND
    • Snacks & Closing Prayer
      in Cassidy Activities Center.

 

We encourage you to come out and participate and to bring your friends to this NEW event.
Fr. Paul, Deacon John, Deacon Charlie plus the Religious Education and Youth Ministry Staff will be present!
We want you to be part of it… we need cantors, lectors, small group leaders, hospitality coordinators etc. If you are interested, please contact Kevin or Eric in the Youth Office at 703-938-5656.

We have started a Peer Leadership Team made up of 4-6 High School Youth that are helping us brainstorm topics of interests and give short witness testimonies. I have about 3 to 5 youth right now, but would love more. We would meet once a month at  5 pm on the first Discipleship Sunday of the month. Please let me know if you or any high school youth are interested.

  • The Associates of St. John Bosco will be hosting
    this event. Reps from various colleges will be
    present to answer questions. FREE to register, but
    please do so ASAP.

Discipleship Sunday will resume on
Sunday, September 16th, so the staff and peer leaders can rest and meet to discuss the Fall 2018 topics.
